5 tenses we freguently use

1. simple present tense

• Digunakan untuk menyatakan rutinitas dan fakta umum.
• rumusnya yaitu : 

          (+) S+V1(S/ES)
          (-) S+do/does+not+V1
          (?) Do/does+S=V1 ?

example :

I+V1= i  take a bath twice a day

(-) i dont take a bath twice a day

(?) do i take a bath twice a day? 

2. Simple past tense

• digunakan untuk menyatakan kalimat yang terjadi di masa lampau
• rumusnya yaitu :

        (+) S+V2

        (-) S+did+not+v1

        (?) did+S+V1

3. Present/past continuous tense

• digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian yang sedang berlangsung
• rumusnya yaitu :

       (+) S+be+Ving

       (-) S+be+not+Ving

       (?) Be+S+Ving

4. Simple future tense

•  Digunakan untuk mengekspresikan kejadian yang belum terjadi, masih direncanakan, atau kejadian di masa yang akan datang
• rumusnya :

         (+) S+will+V1

         (-) S+will+not+V1

         (?) will+S+V1

• example:

        - They will go to campus by bus

        - She will go to campus by motorcycle

5. present perfect tense

• Digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian yang sudah terjadi dan hasilnya masih terlihat/terasa
• rumusnya :

       (+) S+has/have+V3

       (-) S+has/have+not+V3

       (?) Has/have+S+V3

5. the dog (run) throught the park (s.past)

  (+) the dog ran throught the park

  (-) the dog did not run throught the park

  (?) did the dog run throught the park?
